Covid-19 Return to Work
As Ireland is now in Phase 1 of the Roadmap for Reopening Society and Business, many changes have had to have been made to protect the health and well-being of those returning to work. Here at Aairex, all staff members have been equipped with a back to work safety pack including a full face visor, PP3 masks disinfecting wipes, hand sanitiser, gloves and hi-vis vest with a reminder to keep social distancing. The temperature of staff members is checked on a daily basis.
In the event, where any staff member has Covid-19 symptoms. An isolation tent has been established, where the person will be able to stay until being assessed by the necessary medical practitioner.
Further to this. We are actively undertaking contact tracing of all people who are not directly employed by Aairex but are needed to visit our offices, either for collections or deliveries. All visits to our offices must prearranged with our Covid-19 officers. Those who do visit are requested to were the appropriate PPE and follow the government guidelines with regards to safe working conditions in the current climate.
As much of the work we do here at Aairex requires staff to be on other sites. All our staff members have undertake the CIF C-19 induction programme which is designed to protect workers, their family and your community by instructing them on the best practice for work safely in the current climate.
Its purpose is to ensure that everyone working on a construction project understand how to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace. Upon completion of the programme, all our staff received digital cards, which all them to enter sites.
While in work, efforts have been made to allow for social distancing during lunch breaks. This involved a reorganising of the existing canteen area, cutting down occupancy to 3 people at a time, each with an individual table spaced 2m apart. However, to cope with staffing levels, a second canteen has been erected following the same principles. Lunch breaks have also been staggered to help ease demand on the space and allow for thorough cleaning between breaks.
